SLR Lenses
One of the major advantages of choosing an SLR (single lens reflex) camera is the interchangable lenses that are available allowing the function of the camera to be altered to fit the needs of the photographer.
Once you start to become more serious about your photography a SLR camera is the natural progression due to the interchangable lenses. This allows you for example to connect a telephoto lens or macro lens to your existing camera body allowing you to take photographs from very far away or in very close detail respectively.
